Houston, where it all started. In 1970, founder John Baugh merged his family’s company Zero Foods with eight other distributors to form SYSCO (an acronym for SYstems and Services COmpany). After nearly forty years serving customers at the original Portwall St. location, the Houston OpCo relocated to its current location in North Houston on Greens Crossing Blvd. in February of 2010. Today we service over 6,000 customers and recently completed a 185,000 square foot warehouse expansion to become one of the largest food distribution operations in the nation.
